The Assembly Goes to Gamescom

We’re eager to take The Assembly to Gamescom next week. We had a blast at E3 in June so the prospect of putting the game in front of even more fresh sets of eyes is both daunting and very exciting.

Gamescom itself is the world's largest gaming convention with hundreds of thousands of visitors in attendance annually. It’s common knowledge that unlike E3, the German expo is open to the general public. However, what you may not know is that the number of videogames trade and industry visitors has increased by over 85% since 2009. This illustrates just how much the expo has grown in prominence over the last few years.

We’ll be located in the business area exhibiting The Assembly to journalists from around the world, but don’t fret! We’ll be giving the game its first truly public unveiling very soon now, so watch this space…

A taste of the show from the comfort of your home

Put Wednesday 5th August in your diaries, as that’s when we’ll be releasing a brand new video on our YouTube channel that provides the first extended exploration into The Assembly’s gameplay. The video will feature developer commentary from Senior Designer Jackie Tetley. Jackie has been in the videogames industry since 2002 and has worked for companies including Kuju Entertainment, SCEE and Rebellion on titles such as Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warrior, Gangs of London and Aliens vs Predator.

Jackie will also leading the charge with our press demos at Gamescom, so you’ll be able to receive a guided walkthrough parts of the game’s earlier chapters even if you won’t be visiting us at our booth in Cologne.

We’ll also be releasing a slew of fresh screenshots taken from previously unseen areas of the game, including three that we’ll be tweeting exclusively from Gamescom – be sure to follow @nDreamsVR to catch them as they go live on each day of the show.
