The Assembly - Updated to Version 1.1.0
Since launching The Assembly on Oculus Rift and HTC Vive in July, we’ve set loose some of our most diligent developers to squish a few pesky remaining PC bugs, as well as put the finishing touches on the PlayStation VR version of the game.
Today, we’re pleased to tell you that the PC patch is ready to be released! Whether you downloaded the game through Steam or Oculus Home, you’ll find that this update will be applied automatically by default.
The big fixes we’ve applied include resolving any issues when launching the game with SteamVR running, enabling Oculus runtime for the Steam version of the game and tidying up how subtitles work for non-English languages, as well as correcting a number of minor graphical and collision issues.
For a full list of patch notes, please follow this link to the game’s Steam forum.
Many thanks to everyone who brought some of these issues to our attention, your feedback has proved invaluable throughout our bug crushing campaign. As ever, if you do happen to run into any problems, please alert us through email@example.com or report them via our Support Forum on Steam.
Right now, we’re focused on adding a final layer of polish to the PlayStation VR version of The Assembly in time for release in October.
Beyond that, rest assured we have a few further refinements and improvements in the pipeline for you to enjoy. We’ve been keeping a very close eye on all the feedback we’ve received from the community following the game’s release on PC.
While we’re remaining tight-lipped for the time being, we look forward to sharing full details of what we’re working on as soon as we’ve something concrete to show.
