Working Here… Culture

Whilst the development team here at nDreams are busy working on a number of projects, including the award-winning Phantom: Covert Ops, we’ve got a lot of things going on behind the scenes. Talent Director and Co-Founder Tamsin O’Luanaigh introduces our new series of blogs around the culture at the studio…

A company’s workplace culture is the environment in which you work all of the time and is a system of values, beliefs and behaviours that shape how actual work gets done. And whilst we’ve always had a set of values and beliefs in the way we work at nDreams, we’ve recently started to really define these as the company matures and grows.

When Patrick and I started out on this adventure we had a young family and this made a huge impact on how we saw the culture of nDreams forming. Certain elements have without doubt been driven by the need for us to be flexible around family life and it’s important for us to encourage that same flexibility for others within the company too.

We have also always believed in transparency around company strategy and encouraged everyone to feed into this process. The company will only continue to grow with strong communication and collaboration across the different departments and disciplines and it’s about everyone within the team feeling empowered to speak up knowing that their ideas will be listened to and judged equally.

We want nDreams to be a place that people are proud to work at and we’ve put in place a number of policies and programmes around benefits, well-being, career development and more to ensure everyone is supported through all aspects of their work life. We aim to give back to the industry through our education programme and charity initiatives and we’re committed to creating an inclusive work environment where people feel enabled to reach their true potential.
