Meet the new members of nDreams' team
We’ve some very exciting news to share today. We’re thrilled to announce that nDreams has received an investment of £2 million from our partners Mercia Technologies. This follows the £1.75 million investment we received from them in January of this year.
These additional funds will allow for continued expansion of our development team, enable us to grow our self-publishing capabilities and also allow us to offer other independent studios publishing support for their own VR titles.
What’s perhaps even more sensational is that we’ve recently bolstered our internal development staff significantly with some truly impressive talent:
- VP of Development Tom Gillo, who joins the team from PlayStation’s multi-award winning London Studio where most recently he led development of PlayStation VR titles (incl. The Deep, VR Luge and The London Heist).
- Code Dept. Manager Richard Fabian, previously of Frontier Developments and Rockstar Games, who has been programming videogames professionally for 15 years and is the author of the Data-oriented Design website.
- Senior Audio Designer Matt Simmonds, who has worked in games audio for over 25 years and whose higher-profile credits span from Chuck Rock and Micro Machines to Silent Hill: Origins and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories.
- Lead Designer Jamie Whitworth, previously of Rocksteady Studios where he led the development of the exterior locations and cities across the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham trilogy.
We’re looking to grow our team even further, so if you’re a super-talented Coder, Artist or Designer who’s keen to work on original PC/console and mobile VR titles, then get in touch!
Patrick, our CEO and Founder, has this comment to share with the community:
“I’m delighted to be strengthening our relationship with Mercia Technologies. This additional investment allows us to extend our capabilities as a publisher and accelerate our efforts as we head into 2016 – the big ‘Year One’ for VR. With these new hires, we’ve raised the bar in terms of our studio’s skillset, knowledge base and quality of our future output. With our new staff on board, we’re very much looking forward to releasing ‘The Assembly’on PC and PS4 in 2016.”
Don’t forget we’ll be taking The Assembly to the EGX Rezzed videogames expo at London’s Tobacco Docks on April 7th – 9th 2016, where you’ll be able to get your hands on our conspiracy-filled, story-led first-person VR game… and meet us in person, too!
